The Warriors cemented a 141-102 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday at Oracle Arena. But just as it has been ever since the Knicks traded Kristaps Porzingis last week, all the talk centered on forward Kevin Durant’s pending free agency.
Little of it centered on Durant's production that Warriors coach Steve Kerr called "spectacular" with 23 points while going 9-of-13 from the field, 3-of-4 from 3 along with nine assists and eight points.
“I have nothing to do with the Knicks. I don’t know who traded Porzingis. They got nothing to do with me,” Durant said. “I’m trying to play basketball. Ya’ll come in every day and ask me about free agency, my teammates and my coaches and rile up the fans about it. Let us play basketball. That’s what I’m saying. Then when I don’t want to talk to ya’ll, it’s a problem with me. Come on man. Grow up.”
